    Description

    This online Challenging Behaviour Course is a Level 2 knowledge-based nationally recognised qualification, aimed at developing the learner’s knowledge and understanding of behaviour challenges and its effect.

    The Challenging Behaviour Level 2 Course will cover ways to support positive behaviour, the understanding of effective communication, the role of reflection and support for those individuals involved in dealing with incidents of challenging behaviour with adults.

    Learners are able to access their course and support for a 6 month period via our online learning platform Equal. During this time you can log in and out to suit your personal circumstances. So, if you are looking to complete the course in a shorter time, then with the right attitude and commitment, this is more than possible. We enrol 365 days a year too, so you also have the option to enrol and register online at anytime. No set term times, no lectures to attend, no exams to take! Be qualified in a matter of weeks if you prefer!

    Course Syllabus

    Learners will complete 5 units of study in total as listed below.
    5 tutor marked assignment to complete

    Understand how to recognise that an individuals behaviour has the potential to intensify. 

    Understand key terms associated with behaviour that challenges
    Be able to recognise behaviour that challenges in others
    Understand when an individual may behave in a way that is challenging

    Understand legislation and support relevant to behaviour that challenges

    Understand legislation relevant to behaviour that challenges
    Understand best practice relevant to behaviour that challenges
    Understand support available for individuals impacted by behaviour that challenges. 

    Understand how to prepare to manage an incident of behaviour that challenges

    Understand how to prevent behaviour that challenges through promotion of positive behaviour
    Understand the role of strategy in supporting individuals who demonstrate behaviour that challenges
    Understand the role of communication in supporting individuals who demonstrate behaviour that challenges

    Understand how to manage a situation when an individual is acting in a manner that is challenging

    Understand how their own actions can impact upon an individual who is exhibiting behaviour that is challenging
    Understand the consequences of behaviour that challenges
    Understand how to manage behaviour that challenges during an incident.

    Understand own role in providing support following an incident of behaviour that challenges. 

    Understand how to encourage an individual to consider their own behaviour after a challenging incident
    Understand additional support available to those who exhibit behaviour that challenges.

     

     

    Entry Requirements

    No previous qualifications are required

    Students looking to enrol onto this course should meet the following criteria:

    Be aged 16 Years or above
    Possess a solid knowledge of the english language
    Have access to a PC and the internet for the duration of the whole course
    Basic computer skills: e.g Word processing, emailing, uploading documents etc
    Have a genuine desire to succeed

    Course Duration

    This course comes with 6 months support included:

    Guided Learning Hours (GLH) – 130 Hours
    Total Qualification Time (TQT) – 153 Hours

    On average, learners will complete this course within 4 months.

TQUK is recognised as an awarding organisation by the qualification regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, who are: the office of the qualifications and examinations regulator (OFQUAL) in England, the Welsh Government and the council for curriculum, examinations and assessment (CCA) in Northern Ireland.

    Please note: This qualification is not recognised in Scotland.

    Assessment

    Learners will be required to complete a series of tutor marked assignments ( normally 1 after each unit) as they progress through this course. Each assignment will contain a variety of tasks/questions. These assignments are assessed by your tutor to monitor progress. You will be provided with constructive feedback to help you in completing each unit to the required standard.

    There is no examination to complete as the course is completed using continual assessment.
