    This Level 2 Diabetes course is a knowledge-based nationally recognised qualification aimed at updating & continuing professional development (CPD) by developing knowledge relevant to job roles which involve caring for individuals with diabetes. Learners may be employed or seeking employment in the health care sector to register for this course. The course will develop knowledge and understanding of diabetes, prevention and early intervention of type 2 diabetes and the initial care of diabetes and the treatment and management of diabetes.

    Learners are able to access their course and support for a 12 month period via our online learning platform Equal. During this time you can log in and out to suit your personal circumstances. So, if you are looking to complete the course in a shorter time, then with the right attitude and commitment, this is more than possible. We enrol 365 days a year too, so you also have the option to enrol and register online at anytime. No set term times, no lectures to attend, no exams to take!     Course Syllabus

    Learners will complete 4 units of study in total as listed below.
    4 tutor marked assignment to complete.

    Understanding diabetes
    Prevention and early intervention of type 2 diabetes
    Understand the initial care of diabetes
    Understand the treatment and management of diabetes

    Entry Requirement

    No previous qualifications are required

    Students looking to enrol onto this course should meet the following criteria:

    Be aged 16 Years or above
    Possess a solid knowledge of the English language
    Have access to a PC and the internet for the duration of the whole course
    Basic computer skills: e.g Word processing, emailing, uploading documents etc
    Have a genuine desire to succeed

    Course Duration

    This course comes with 12 months of support included:

    Guided Learning Hours (GLH) – 105 Hours
    Total Qualification Time (TQT) – 160 Hours

    On average, learners will complete this course within 4 months.

    Learners will be required to complete a series of tutor-marked assignments ( normally 1 after each unit) as they progress through this course. Each assignment will contain a variety of tasks/questions. These assignments are assessed by your tutor to monitor progress. You will be provided with constructive feedback to help you in completing each unit to the required standard.

    There is no examination to complete as the course is completed using continual assessment.
