    Description

Ofsted Inspection Online Course: Within the updated Education Inspection Framework (EIF), Ofsted introduced 3 terms: Intent, Implementation and Impact. Ofsted use these ‘3 I’s’ to make a judgement on the ‘quality of education’ at a setting. Understand the 3 I’s, explore the use of the 3 I’s in everyday practice, and apply it to your curriculum development.

    Learning outcomes

    • You will know the meaning of the 3 I’s and how they relate to staff training, ‘cultural capital’, and the curriculum
    • You will be able to use this terminology in your everyday interactions and practice, such as in staff meetings and 1:1’s
    • You will be able to showcase this knowledge and understanding during your own Ofsted inspection

Advantages of this Ofsted inspection online course

    • During the inspection process, Ofsted wants to have a sound understanding of the ‘quality of education’ in your setting. This course outlines what they will want to see in terms of the 3 I’s in order to be judged as ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’.
    • This short course is suitable for practitioners and educators in early years settings and schools – there is specific information and guidance for these settings, as well as for leaders and managers who need to prepare to be inspected on the 3 I’s
    • Additional activities encourage you to reflect on your learning
    • There is also suggested extended reading that gives both practical information and links to websites to expand knowledge
