    This Interior Design course online is aimed at students looking to gain an understanding of the principles of setting up a small interior design business. Interior design is the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. It involves a combination of creativity, technical knowledge, and practical skills to create functional and visually appealing interior spaces.

    Interior designers often collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to bring their visions to life. They also balance creativity with practical constraints such as budgets, timelines, and client preferences.

    The objectives of this interior design course online are to:

    • Describe the history of interior design,
    • Classic design styles and the work of leading designers
    • Investigate the seven design elements which contribute to a design
    • Explore the room elements which influence a design effect
    • Undertake an interior design project
    • Develop a business plan for establishing a design business
    • Identify the tools of the trade

    Entry Requirements

    There are no previous qualifications required. However, students looking to enrol onto this course should meet the following criteria:

    Be aged 16 Years or above
    Possess a solid knowledge of the English language
    Have access to a PC and the internet for the duration of the whole course
    Basic computer skills: e.g. Word processing, emailing, uploading documents etc
    Have a genuine desire to succeed

    Course Duration

    This course comes with 12 months of support included:

    Guided Learning Hours (GLH) – 60 Hours
    Total Qualification Time (TQT) – 80 Hours

    On average, learners will complete this course within 7 months

    Course Outcome

    ABC Quality License Scheme – Certificate of Achievement

    At the end of this course, successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details all of the units you have completed as part of your course).

You will be provided with constructive feedback to help you in completing each unit to the required standard.

    There is no examination to complete as the course is completed using continual assessment.
