Equality and diversity are essential principles that promote fairness, inclusion, and respect for all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstances.
What is Equality?
Equality means ensuring that everyone has the same opportunities and is treated fairly, without discrimination. It does not mean treating everyone the same but rather addressing different needs to achieve fair outcomes.
What is Diversity?
Diversity refers to recognizing, valuing, and respecting differences among people, such as:
- Race and ethnicity
- Gender and gender identity
- Age
- Disability
- Religion or belief
- Sexual orientation
- Socioeconomic background
