Grief counselling Level 3 online course. Grief counselling, also known as bereavement counselling, is a specialised form of therapy designed to help individuals cope with the emotional, physical, and psychological effects of losing a loved one. The goal of grief counselling is to provide support and guidance through the grieving process, helping individuals to process their loss, adjust to life without their loved one, and find ways to move forward.
This bereavement and grief counselling course teaches you the understanding and helping of others, that are going through the loss of a loved one and how it can have a devastating effect on an individual. If you have experienced the pain and upset of losing someone close to you, then you will understand. Many of us require a neutral person to help us through the experience of grieving.
Are you a caring individual? A good listener, compassionate, able to understand a person’s needs? Then this could be the ideal path for you to consider.
Students will learn how to:
- Understand grief, loss, bereavement and mourning
- Develop knowledge about the models of bereavement and anticipatory loss
- Explain ‘The Invisible Toolbox Part 1’ in developing counselling skills
- Understand ‘The Invisible Toolbox Part 2’ in approaches and techniques
- Recognise know how to support people with children, adolescents and loss
Learners are able to access their course and support for a 12 month period. During this time you can log in and out to suit your personal circumstances. So, if you are looking to complete the course in a shorter time, then with the right attitude and commitment, this is more than possible. We enrol 365 days a year too, so you also have the option to enrol and register online at anytime. No set term times, no lectures to attend, no exams to take.
