    This counselling level 3 online course will provide students with a fully recognised RQF qualification once complete. A counsellor is a professional who provides guidance, support and advice to individuals, couples, families or groups dealing with personal, emotional, psychological or social challenges. The specific role of a counsellor can vary depending on their area of expertise but generally they aim to help people explore their feelings, understand their problems and develop coping strategies to improve their well-being and mental health.

    Counsellors can work in various settings, including schools, hospitals, community organisations, private practices or online. Their ultimate goal is to empower clients to achieve greater self-awareness, resilience and well-being

    This course can be completed totally online without the need for practical placement, which enables students from all over the world achieve their ambitions. Learners will gain an understanding of a range of counselling skills and have the opportunity to examine some of the various schools of thought/theoretical models associated with them. The counselling level 3 online course explores working ethically with counselling skills and aims to enhance knowledge of ethical frameworks and how they relate to counselling and anti-discriminatory practice

    Learners will cover the core skills and allow learners to demonstrate these through a series of written and practical assessments. Using role/play and simulation via video/audio this allows learners to qualify without having a physical placement. Your tutor will guide you on this as you progress through your studies.

    Learners will complete 7 units of study in total as listed below.

    Be able to apply core theory to counselling skills practice. 
    Be able to apply theory of counselling and reflect on development of self-understanding

    Unit Two: Ethical Frameworks in Counselling

    Understand ethical frameworks and their application to different counselling settings
    Understand the challenges of confidentiality and boundaries
    Understand ethical referral

    Unit Three: Establish, Develop and Maintain Counselling Relationships

    Understand the counselling relationship
    Be able to apply skills to establish, maintain and develop counselling relationships

    Unit Four:Difference and Diversity in Counselling

    Unit Five:Developing Counselling Skills Using Feedback and Reflection

    Unit Six:Relational Awareness in Counselling

    Unit Seven:Plan for Personal and Professional Development

    Entry Requirements

    No previous qualifications are required

    Students looking to enrol onto this course should meet the following criteria:

    Be aged 16 Years or above
    Have willing friends/family/colleagues willing to assist with the practical components. For example: the recording of video or audio demonstration. 
    Possess a solid knowledge of the English language
    Have access to a PC and the internet for the duration of the whole course
    Basic computer skills: e.g Word processing, emailing, uploading documents etc
    Have a genuine desire to succeed

    This course comes with 12 months access and support included:

    Total Qualification Time (TQT) – 370 Hours

    Based on learners completing and passing one unit per month, most will finish this course within 7 months but you are able to complete at your own pace within the allocated access period.

    This course provides successful students with a qualification from Training Qualifications UK, listed on the RQF.  TQUK is recognised as an awarding organisation by the qualification regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, who are: the office of the qualifications and examinations regulator (Ofqual) in England, the Welsh Government and the council for curriculum, examinations and assessment (CCA) in Northern Ireland.

    Assessment

    Learners will be required to complete a series of tutor marked assignments ( normally 1 after each unit) as they progress through this course.

    Each assignment will contain a variety of written questions and practical video/audio tasks. Practical tasks require the support of friends & family who are willing to allow you demonstrate and record video/audio evidence for submission. These assignments are assessed by your tutor to monitor progress. You will be provided with constructive feedback to help you in completing each unit to the required standard.

    There is no examination to complete as the course is completed using continual assessment.
