Asbestos Awareness Course. If you as an employer, or your employees are liable to be exposed to asbestos, come into contact with or disturb asbestos or work with asbestos containing materials then The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) applies to you. Regulation 10 of CAR states that every employer must ensure that adequate information, instruction and training is given to employees.
As well as informing you about the risks of working with asbestos, the course will deliver information about: Recognising asbestos, where it’s used, minimising the risks and the legislation about working with asbestos. This Asbestos Awareness course is designed for anyone who may come into contact with asbestos in their work, including people who are self employed or duty holders. Commonly this includes builders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters and other building related and maintenance trades.
