Advanced Counselling Level 4 Award Course – Endorsed

Advanced Counselling Level 4 Course provides an in-depth look into the different models and types of therapy. Providing you with the skills you need in order to help you work with clients effectively.

The course explores development and attachment theories, communication skills (such as empathy, clarification and challenge, goal setting, and listening) as well as values and anti-oppressive practice. This home learning advanced counselling course also addresses the current issues surrounding the regulation of the profession and how this will affect trainee and qualified counsellors, as well as information regarding setting up your own practice.

This course is approved by the ACCPH (Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists). At the end of this course, students will be able to join and become a member of the ACCPH. The ACCPH is an independent self-regulated professional body for counsellors, psychotherapists and hypnotherapists.

Entry Requirements

There are no previous qualifications required. However, students looking to enrol onto this course should meet the following criteria:

Be aged 16 Years or above
Possess a solid knowledge of the English language
Have access to a PC and the internet for the duration of the whole course
Basic computer skills: e.g. Word processing, emailing, uploading documents etc
Have a genuine desire to succeed

Guided Learning Hours (GLH) – 120 Hours
Total Qualification Time (TQT) – 140 Hours

At the end of this course, successful learners will receive a Certificate of Achievement from ABC Awards and Certa Awards and a Learner Unit Summary (which lists the details all of the units you have completed as part of your course).
