    Description

    This online A-Level Maths self-study Course (Fast Track) covers the new specification. A-Level Mathematics is a subject that provides students with a strong foundation in advanced mathematical concepts, critical for university studies in mathematics, engineering, physics, economics, and other quantitative disciplines. It consists of both pure and applied mathematics. 

    The topics are presented in small “chunks” with tutor marked examples followed by activities for the student to test understanding at any given point. Revision tests are provided after every three or four sections, and there is a Test Paper at the end of each module based on a previous exam paper.  These will be graded and used to provide predicted grades for students looking to apply for university.

    This course covers exactly the same content as you would at your local 6th form college. Same syllabus: Same Exams: Same qualification. No difference at all! Studying online does provide the option for determined learners to gain their qualification a lot quicker though. With the right commitment and ability, we regularly experience students complete in under 6 months.

    Entry Requirements

    There are no previous qualifications required to register for this course.

    Course Duration

    This course comes with 24 months support included:

    Guided Learning Hours (GLH) – 360 Hours
    Total Qualification Time (TQT) – 700 Hours

    Assessment

    To achieve a full Mathematics A-Level you will be assessed across all 3 parts. All parts will be assessed by three paper-based examinations:

    Paper 1:
    Type: Written exam
    Duration: 2 Hours
    Assessment Format: Short, single-mark questions to multi-step problems

    Paper 2:
    Type: Written exam
    Duration: 2 Hours
    Assessment Format: Short, single-mark questions to multi-step problems

    Paper 3:
    Type: Written exam
    Duration: 2 HoursAssessment Format: Short, single-mark questions to multi-step problems

     

    Additional Examination Fees

    As a private candidate, it is the students responsibility to arrange their own examinations and practical assessment if required. This is not part of the service offered by UK Open College.

    This should be done prior to enrolment with us. It is your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary arrangements in place & confirmed. This is very easy to do but you need to book in advanced to avoid late booking fees. We estimate between £300.-£500 per subject (Not per paper)

    Fees for these services can vary hugely from centre to centre. It may be worth travelling out of area. (It’s worth it)

    You can also try www.tutorsandexams.uk who have a number of centres located across the UK. They deal with private candidates all the time and will be happy to help with booking if required.

    The later you leave it to arrange, the more expensive it can be. At times, it can be impossible to arrange so plan ahead. (6 months minimum recommended)

    Your contract with us is for the course and support only. We will not refund you outside of the 14 day cooling off period if you have not confirmed these arrangements with your selected centre.

    UCAS Points & Predicted Grades

    All of our A Levels will provide you with UCAS points upon successful completion of your examinations. The amount you receive will depend on the grade achieved as detailed below. Tutors can also provide predicted grades for university based on your completed assessments within the course for a fee of £60.00. This is a one off fee regardless of how many subjects are taken. For example: If you have taken 3 A level Subjects you only pay the £60.00 once (Not per Subject)

    The majority of our A Levels will require a minimum of 3 completed assignments and correspondence to provide a predicted grade. We would advise you register for your course 3 months in advance of when you need a predicted grade for.  Eg: if you require a predicted grade for January, then you should enrol in Sept and aim to compete the 3 tutor marked assessments by December.
